meet our CEO

Search for Kolleen Chesley on LinkedIn and she’s described as a Chief Plate Spinner, Head Cheerleader, and Lead Visionary for women in business. These words are a great summary of her leadership roles over the past 20 years.

In 2004, Kolleen founded Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast, a local nonprofit for women in business who came together during the recovery from a major hurricane and needed collaborative business support. After the storm recovery was complete, the organization continued to thrive and added monthly networking meetings, a podcast and print magazine, annual conferences, and other educational events and opportunities for women in business.

In August 2023, Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast merged with LeadHERship Global. United in purpose, mission and vision, the combined communities serve to advance and accelerate the success of inspiring leaders worldwide. Together, these two communities of women leaders leverage self-directed learning, impactful group experiences, peer advisory services, and expert-led coaching and mentoring to advance the success of women globally.

Kolleen also accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer of LeadHERship Global and maintains the roles of chief plate spinner, head cheerleader, and lead visionary supporting a larger community of women committed to breakthroughs, goal-achievement and living up to their true potential.

Kolleen is also an active member in IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area. In her personal time, Kolleen and her husband, Alex enjoy traveling to quaint music festivals, hiking mountains and trails, and laughing with and loving their shelter rescue dog, Zoey.

No one grows as a leader by themselves. It's impossible. You have to be surrounded by other leaders that are truly genuinely invested in your success. That is where true leadership begins. Of course, every leader needs to be purposeful and intentional about where they spend their time. At LeadHERship Global, you can develop meaningful relationships with other leaders who are transparent, authentic and vulnerable. We provide a safe haven where leaders can be open about their struggles, their challenges, their obstacles. As a member, you get access to the valuable expertise, the lived experience, the unbiased advice, and the objective guidance and feedback from other women who have overcome the challenges you’re facing, and taken advantage of the opportunities right in front of you. And they can help you navigate to that next level of success.
